Cami believes in giving back to the community that has given her so much! She feels blessed to have grown up in this town, and to now be able to help the people of this community means so very much!
The Adopt-A-School program, sponsored by the Denton Independent School District and Denton Chamber of Commerce, fosters a partnership between businesses, agencies and organizations and the public schools. Cami is honored to be an Adopt-A-School sponsor year after year and has been recognized each year as a "Top Adopter"! She proudly supports Hodge Elementary and starts the school year off with a "Pamper the Teachers" breakfast, where she cooks for and serves them. Cami recognizes the crucial part that educators play in our lives and she is proud to support and recognize them.
Cami graduated from Leadership Denton on May 2, 2002, which is a 9 month program offered through the Denton Chamber of Commerce. To acheive this honor, Cami participated in an extensive interview process and then completed the program, along with 17 others in her class. This class provides extensive training about the wheels that turn the political, social, nonprofit and other inter-workings of our community. The honor also allows Cami to proudly call herself part of the Leadership Denton Alumni association.
"The sky's the limit" was the theme for the 2003 United way of Denton County Pacesetters Breakfast held on July 29 at Fremaux's Metropolitan Catering. Cami Hobbs-Earhart, REALTOR/owner/agent of Cami & Associates of the Real T Team chairs the 2003 special events committee. Cami said, "United Way helps many deserving citizens of our community who are truly facing difficult circumstances. There is room for everyone to become enthusiastically involved in raising funds for United Way through the gift of time, talent and finacial resources." She added, "Let's take advantage of this opportunity to help our neighbors who need us."
Putting her words in to action to benifit United Way of Denton County, Cami & her staff organized and sponsored their second annual Classic Car show which was held on September 27, 2003 at the Real T Team office at 1400 Dallas Drive, in Denton. With over forty entries the event raised over $2000. The Denton County Sheriff's Department Cook Team provided delicious BBQ sandwiches, snacks and popcorn which helped make the event fun for all who attended. Cami also served on the Board of Directors in previous years and continues to support the United Way and what they do for our community.
Cami does many other things throughout the year to support the Denton community. From helping people on an individual basis or sponsoring community toy collections, to supporting the Special Olympics and the City of Denton Animal Shelter, Cami gives her all to the community that has given her so much!
